Happy Father's Day to Mark!

Cade gave Mark a special booklet about…"The Ten Best Things I Like About My Dad". I always love the sentimental stuff, even if it's not for me. There were 6 out of the 10 that mentioned sports. One said something like: "I like how hard you make money for us so we can have a home, food, clothes, basketball and baseball stuff. (Like the sports stuff were just part of the core necessities) Gotta love this sports family.
We got Mark a few gifts and played the traditional Boola Boola (hot –cold game) to find his treasures. We made him a candy lei, which was fun..but kind of a mistake because it was breakfast time. There’s nothing like having the little kids begging for candy at 9am. Jayson was so sad that he didn’t have anything to give “daddy” so he quickly made him a coupon for a lot of Wendy’s frosties. He started out with a black marker that wasn’t working well. He grabbed a gray marker and said, “I’ll use gray because dad’s hair is all gray!” Funny! At church the young women handed each father a caramel sucker to pin on their shirts. Sadie just couldn’t handle the candy in her face. Mark had to keep saying that he’d get her some candy after church. She said…"I want that candy..It's MY father's day to me!." At home, Jayson noticed in the candy lei, that the whole Twix bar wasn’t there. He was so worried that someone was sneaking the candy. He was telling everyone there was only one Twick. For some reason we thought that was hilarious. Are we not giving our children enough candy!!??
